Celebrating Excellence: WeVett Realty’s 2025 Top Performers
Each year, WeVett Realty recognizes the military-specialized real estate agents who set the standard for excellence within our network. These guys and gals are the ones you want in your corner when you’re PCSing from Japan and buying a home you’ve never laid eyes on…
The top performers are not chosen based on a single metric, but rather show consistent performance across sales volume, customer satisfaction, close ratios, and responsiveness—all the things that really matter to military families. They know what they’re doing in real estate because they live and breathe it; and can walk (or run) you to closing in a way that leaves you smiling instead of gritting your teeth.
Without further ado, here are our top performers!
2025 Top Three Agents
These agents set the standard for professionalism, reliability, and results throughout 2025, hitting it out of the park for our military clients. We’re proud to give them the big old WeVett family pat on the back for a job well done.

Derek Walden (Kansas) - last year’s Up and Comer
Faith, family, and life-long learner are a few words to describe Derek. As a father of 8, Veteran, and native Kansan, Derek knows the value of service, integrity, and commitment. Fortunate to marry his high school sweetheart, he loves building relationships, finding solutions, and helping others seamlessly navigate the buying and selling process. Before his career in real estate, Derek honed his leadership and work ethic as a reconnaissance Marine, serving a combat tour in Fallujah, Iraq. He then went on to serve as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst and Chaplain Corps member in the Air Force. Those diverse and challenging experiences enable him to be calm under pressure and ready to give you the competitive edge in real estate. Warm, approachable, and authentic, Derek has a zest for life and specializes in the intangible values of service and communication. When not working for others, you’ll find Derek with his family, traveling, or reading a new favorite book.
Rhonda Chambal (Ohio) – her second consecutive year as a Top Three performer
Real estate isn’t something Rhonda does to earn a living, it’s her passion! She felt the first “sparks” when she was just 6 years old, riding in the backseat of a realtor’s car and helping her parents search for the perfect 4-bedroom house. By the time she was 12, she had become an amateur appraiser -- cruising neighborhoods with her dad, guessing how much the houses cost, and perusing the Dayton Daily to find the correct answers. As an adult, she gained much real estate experience through military moves to New Mexico, Arizona, Virginia, and Alabama. She also fed her passion by purchasing rental properties and “flip” homes to supplement her family income. After building five new homes, coordinating six FSBO (For Sale By Owner) sales, and managing multiple rental properties, she decided to turn her vocation into her profession in 2009.Since then, she’s built a very successful real estate business -- selling well over $350,000,000 in homes and assisting more than 1,000 families! She believes everything she did in the past prepared her for this path. Her B.S. in Mass Communication from Miami University gave her a strong foundation. Throughout her careers as a technical editor and computer-based training programmer/designer, she refined her writing, videography, visual design, research, and computer skills -- all of which give her a definite edge in marketing properties. She’s hardworking, detail-oriented, dedicated, responsible, and most importantly, RESPONSIVE. Let her put her experience to work for you!
Natasha Scott (Virginia)
Natasha Scott is a full time real estate professional whose passion for serving others was shaped through life transitions of her own. As a military spouse and active community advocate, she understands that buying or selling a home is more than a transaction. It is a life moment filled with emotion, change, and possibility. Service and advocacy are central to Natasha’s work. She is a long standing PTA board member, volunteers each Thanksgiving to help feed local military service members and their families, and serves as a trusted ombudsman. She is consistently named a top producer within her brokerage, and her relationship based approach has led many clients to return to her time and again for their real estate needs.
2025 Up-and-Coming
Our second award is to recognize the 2025 Up-and-Comer. The Up-and-Coming award is given to a WeVett Realty agent who has quickly demonstrated excellence, strong execution, and a clear trajectory for long-term impact. While not necessarily new to the business, the Up-and-Comer is new to the WeVett family—and it takes a lot to gain our trust!
This year, despite a competitive field, Stacy Sherno was a standout pick. Way to bring your A-game, Stacy!

Stacy Sherno (Maryland)
Stacy is a Full Time Realtor® with the Karla Pinato Team (a consistent top producing team) of Northrop Realty and longtime resident of Howard County, now residing in the small town of Cooksville, MD. As a graduate of the University of Maryland in Political Science and past experience as a Law clerk and Legal Assistant for Wiley, Rein & Fielding, Stacy knows Maryland, and she found her passion for real estate while working as an Administrative professional with Northrop Realty. She has the unique quality of being able to help people make big decisions, while helping them understand the aspects of buying and selling a home in the current market environment. She has worked with many clients who put their trust in her and are confident in her communication skills, ethics, discretion, and responsiveness. Stacy is a great listener and very kind. Clients will feel at ease through stressful times with her care and guidance. Stacy and her husband have 2 daughters - one, who has graduated Stevenson University with a degree in Criminal Justice and another in Nursing school at Towson University. Stacy is active in the community with ties to Resurrection Catholic Church, Howard County Association of Realtors, Maryland Association of Realtors, and volunteering.
